DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran and the United States will hold talks Friday in Oman, their latest over Tehran's nuclear program after Israel launched a 12-day war on the country in June and the Islamic Republic launched a bloody crackdown on nationwide protests.
The letter, seen by AFP, stated that Iran remains committed “to diplomatic solutions” and “on a reciprocal basis, addressing ambiguities regarding its peaceful nuclear programme.”
The U.S. struck several Iranian nuclear sites last June and insists it would not allow Tehran to develop nuclear weapons.
President Trump has given no indication that he has made a decision about how to proceed, as diplomatic talks continue.
